He was predeceased by: his wife Celina Georgina Buffin; his parents, William Buffin (Bill) and Aldina Buffin-Lafleur; his children, James, Fabian Buffin, Gloria Abbey and Joan Buffin; his siblings, Florence Hansen, Archie Buffin and Frankie Buffin; and his grandsons, Joey Maurice, Kendyn Opekokew and Sask.

He is survived by: his children, Bobby Buffin (Janet), Joe Maurice (Linda), Carol Buffin, Ida Gauthier (Randy) and Iris Buffin; his brother-in-law Gary Aubichon; his grandchildren, Terance Buffin, Dustin Buffin, Trista Buffin and Amy Buffin; his great grandchildren, Emma, Eystan, Emberleigh, Zane, Kerrigan, Kyson, Brooklyn, Levi, Anaia, Katasha, Kyla, Cavetta, Robyn, Taryn, Gabby, Tanisha, Julie, Tiara, Miller, Nathan, Drake, Janson, Jaylin, Kaylin, Mark, Carter, Hunter, Atlas, Venna, Jayva and Tracy; his sister Pearl Tyminski; and his son-in-law Richard Abbey.
