With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gerald Frances LaPlante (Big River, Saskatchewan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hercule and Jean; his siblings, Larry LaPlante and Rita Arcand; and his siblings-in-law, Andy Neufeld, Wilfred Boyer, Joe Arcand, Alfred Unrau and Mary LaPlante.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his children, Shaye LaPlante (Jeremy Morin) and Alan LaPlante (Kara); his grandchildren, Chaneil Miller (Levi), Kaden Morin and Roan Morin (Amanda); his great grandchild Knox Morin; his grandchildren, Rhea Morin, Damon Morin (Rylee), Harlyn LaPlante and Ryker LaPlante; and his siblings, Evelyn Neufeld, Raymond LaPlante (Colleen), Wilson LaPlante (Rita) and Angeline Boyer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the BIG River Community Hall (606 1 St N, Big River, SK S0J0E0).
