She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward (Ed) and Lorraine; her sister Elaine; her brother-in-law Dave Viala; and her pets, Simba, Dixie, Mindy and Cujo.

She is survived by : her close friend Watson; her husband Thomas Kowalchuk; her children, Jennifer Walton (Dan), Joanne Boguslaw and Mitchell Regnier (Kim); her stepdaughters, Cassandra Kowalchuk and Stephanie Spelliscy (Kevin); her siblings, Bernard Regnier (Joan), Corrine Smith (Wayne), Annette Ulmer (Denis), Jeannine Viala and Jocelyn Stretch (Trevor); her parents-in-law, Adolph and Esther Kowalchuk; and her pets, Abby, Sheeba and Watson. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
