He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ostafichuk and Anna Ostafichuk (Sakundiak); his wife Annie; his siblings, Mary Slemko (Mike), Olga Wasyliw (Anton) and Mike; his brothers-in-law, Frank Lozinski and Earl Olver; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Julia Lozinski.
He is survived by: his children, Maynard Ostafichuk of Regina and Brenda Slowski of Yorkton; his sister Stella Olver of Ninette, MB; his grandchildren, Amy Ostafichuk, Trinity Ostafichuk, Arianna Ostafichuk, Melissa Slowski, Mallorie Sadowick (Logan) and Mathew Slowski (Brianna); his great grandchildren, Lynnleigh Ostafichuk, Beau, Hadley Sadowick and Anistyn Slowski; and his children-in-law, Marcy Baron and Rodney Slowski. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
A prayer was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home (128 2 Ave, Canora, SK S0A0L0). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church (216 5 Ave, Canora, SK S0A0L0).
Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or to the Canora Hospital Auxiliary, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Peter Ostafichuk.
