He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Leverton and Nellie Leverton; and his brother Bill. He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his daughter Debbie (Doug); his grandchildren, Roxanne, Leanne and Chad (Erin); his son Bruce (Treena); his grandchildren, Jesse (Sarah), Gary (Chantelle) and Warren (Deamber); his son Walter (Pauline); his grandchildren, Brandon (John Deibert), Craig (Kelsie) and Devon; his son Lyle (Tina); his granddaughters, Sarah and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Brittany, Domonic, Reese, Makayla, Alyssa, Ryder, Jax, Keelyn and Maddyn; and his great great grandchild Zane.

Fred was very proud of the Park Valley History book, 'Wilderness to Neighbourhoods' and his contributions to it.
