He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Bather and Wynn Bather; his brother Clarence Bather; his sister-in-law Shirley Bather; his aunt Alice; and his uncle Carl Pearson.

He is survived by: his friend Larry; his children, Terry Bather, Stephen Bather and Matthew Bather (Nicole Rinas); his grandchild Sloane Bather; his daughters, Kaitlyn Bather (Ryan Demers) and Hannah Bather (Patrick Filion); his grandchildren, Dominick and Masen Filion; and his siblings, Marvin Bather (Diane), Edward Bather, Lloyd Bather and Sandra Grumbo (Dale Balan).
