He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma; his son Vincent Dixon; his siblings, Harding Dixon, Allen Dixon, Dick Dixon, Evelyn Conley, Bessie Jeffrey, Connie Osterman, Neta Rae and Joan Bevan; his son-in-law Gary Coulter; and his parents, John Dixon and Ann Dixon.

He is survived by: his children, Laurie Coulter, Kimberley (Randy) and Garth Dixon; his sister Pat Henderson; and his stepchildren, Darleen Duce, Donna Ehrmantraut (Duane), Hal Coulter (Sheila), Ron Coulter (Donna), Della Guenther (Russell) and Kelvin Coulter (Roni Sue). He is also survived by six grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Carievale Community Hall.
