He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Hurtig and Thilda Hurtig; his siblings, Len, Lila (Art), Cecil (Pat) and Elvin (Elsie); his former life partner Marj Hurtig (Boorman); and his close friend Olive Badger.
He is survived by : his sister Beatrice Murdock. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
