He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Hillrud and Eva Hillrud; his brother Henry Hillrud; his parents-in-law, Ted and Irene Leedy; and his brothers-in-law, Edwin Rowland, Ken Dinwoodie and Brian Sweeney.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his daughter Marla (Darcy McPhee); his grandchildren, Douglas and Taylor (Lincoln); his son Marvin (Nicole); his grandchildren, Christian (Jordan), Maeve, Jordan (Tori), Blaire and Kiera (Zac); his daughter Lisa (Del Fladeland); his grandchildren, Dawson, Rylan and Brayden; his son Blake (Dawn); his grandchildren, Gracie and Mazey; his siblings, Hazel Rowland of Weyburn, SK, Sylvia Dinwoodie of Stony Plain, AB, Carol Sweeney of Portage and Rae Hillrud (Pat) of Innisfail, AB; and his sister-in-law Colleen Vermeulen (Byron) of Ceylon, SK. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
