John Wade Morgan
September 7, 1961 – July 11, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Wade Morgan on Friday, July 11, 2025, in Chaplin, Saskatchewan, at the age of 63. Wade was born on September 7, 1961, in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ted Morgan and Margaret Corkum; his brother George Morgan; his in-laws Velma and Ernest Doucette; brother-in-law Ernie Doucette; and great-nephew Evan Graham.
Wade is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Faye Doucette, of Chaplin, SK; his daughter Meagan Hobbs (Lindsay, ON); his sons John Jr. Hobbs (Lindsay, ON), Devan (Cass) (Saskatoon, SK), and Aaron (Chaplin, SK); and his stepson Kenny (Halifax, NS).
He will be dearly missed by his siblings Angie (Myles) Whynott (Oxford, NS), Wendy (Doug) (Woodstock, NB), Lisa (Rob) (Kingston, NS), and Alan (Wanda) (Kingston, NS). Wade was a loving uncle to 16 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Wade was employed by the Municipality of Chaplin, a community he cared for deeply. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to family. Wade found joy in the simple things—he never asked for much and valued time spent with those he loved above all else. His kindness, loyalty, and protective nature left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Our family has been forever blessed to have had Wade in our lives. His love, laughter, and spirit will live on in our hearts always. He will never be forgotten.
