He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl and Yvonne; his brother Don; his siblings-in-law, Arlene McGillivray, Irene Stewart, Irene Hort, Mike Kowblick, Mike Chernowchan, Murray DeCorby, Ron Stewart, Murray Halldorson, Al Burkart and Dan Hort; and his nephews, Terry Kowblick, Doug Kowblick and Claude McDonald.
He is survived by : his wife Elsie Hort; his children, Sandra, Gary, Dale, Shawna and Kendy; his siblings, Lorne McGillivray and Lorraine Kowblick; and his siblings-in-law, May Halldorson, Jenny Chernowchan, Mike Hort (Lillian) and Jake Hort (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association as gifts of remembrance.
