He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae and Eddie; his brothers, Merle and Ross; and his nephew Jason Bisson.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Terry Leippi (Pam) of Weekes, SK, Tina Hipkiss (Shawn) of Sherwood Park, AB, Julie Leippi of Cardston, AB and Dustin Bisson; his grandchildren, Brody Leippi, Connor, Kaiden Hipkiss, Danton, Carter and Savanna Kuntz; his siblings, Gail (Ed), Glen (Judy), Garnold (Charlene) and Elaine (Stan); and his sisters-in-law, Bertha and Gaille.
