He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Carriere; and his siblings, Douglas Carriere, Angus Carriere, Raynold Carriere, Noah Carriere, Lyle Carriere, Stella Hoksbergen and Helen Van Dale.

He is survived by: his wife Emily; his brothers, Victor and Reynold (Chug); his grandchildren, Sherisa, Orlan, Adam and Candice; his daughters, Donna, Shelly (Rudy) and Laurie; and his siblings, Vic Carriere (Joni), Chris Carriere, Butch Carriere (Anna), Gary Carriere (Karen) and Patsy Carriere.
