He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Stewart and Dorothy Stewart; his parents-in-law, Norman and Dorothy MacDonald; his sister-in-law Joan Stewart; and his aunt Alma Loppacher.

He is survived by : his wife Audrey; his children, Brent (Fay), Jennifer Richards (Ryley) and Kimberly Michaliew (Adam); his grandchildren, Camryn, Brady, Braxton, Claire Stewart, Boe, Brandt Richards, Olivia and Declan Michaliew; his brothers, Larry (Suzanne) and Glenn (Donna); and his brothers-in-law, Brian MacDonald (RoseMarie), Neil MacDonald and Roy MacDonald (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
