He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Arneson and Cora Arneson; and his brother Ken. He is survived by: his wife June; his daughters, Terry Thulien (Milton) and Lori Durksen (Wayne); his grandchildren, Kelly Janzen (Rick), Kyle Thulien, Chelsea Peters (Eric) and Shayla Hopkins (Reid); his great grandchildren, Jayce Janzen, Jaryn Lewis (Seth), Ayden Janzen, Jake, Max Peters, Ivy, Otto, Faye and Cal Hopkins; his sister Ann Schwandt; and his in-laws, Calvin, Glenda Myers and Myrna Foster.
