He was predeceased by : his wife Helen Friesen; his parents, Martin Wiebe and Anna Wiebe; and his sisters, Beth, Mary, Helen and Maggie.

He is survived by : his children, Leonard, Laura and Charmaine; and his sisters, Annie and Tina. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
