With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Halter (Dodsland, Saskatchewan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on January 28, 2026 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Halter and Ruth Halter; and his brother Larry Halter. He is survived by: his children, Donelda Proteau (Luc), Rick Halter (Rhonda), Daphne Halter and Megan Ausmus (Brad); the mother of his children Aileen Halter; his brothers, Leonard Halter (Elsie) and Brent Halter (Ernie); and his sister-in-law Sharon Halter. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (203 4 Ave, Dodsland, SK S0L0V0). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Dodsland Druid Cemetery (Dodsland, SK S0L).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Dodsland Arena Rebuild Committee in memory of our dad, Richard Halter.
