She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harsch and Annie Harsch; her husband Richard Keil; her siblings, Gilbert Harsch, Loretta Shastal and Doreen Harsch; her siblings-in-law, Edward Keil, Walter Keil, Harvey Shastal, Alice "Sis" Keil and Jean Harsch; and her daughter-in-law Yulia Keil.
She is survived by: her children, Treena Redman (Dave) and Kelly Keil; her grandchildren, Jay Ellen St. Jacques, Austin Redman, Scott Thome and Amber Thome; her great grandchildren, Kylie Goldie, Kian Goldie, Brie Thome and Cheyenne Brown-Holden; and her brother Roland Harsch (Sandi). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Pattison Chapel (540 S Railway St, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 2V6). A reception will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Elaine's Foodtown (4L Motel, Leader).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ellin Keil may be made to Eatonia Oasis Living (EOL).
