He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sawatsky and Alice Sawatsky; his siblings, Shirley Fiske and Lloyd Sawatsky; his parents-in-law, David and Anne Ferguson; and his brothers-in-law, John Paonessa, David, Douglas and Robert Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ferguson of Birsay; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Sawatsky, Dianne Beaman, Dianna Ferguson, Marj Paonessa and Ron Fiske. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
