He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald and Margaret; his wife Margaret; his sisters, Christine Austman and Pamela Poitras; his brothers-in-law, Brian Smith, Lloyd Austman, Lorne Duke, Philip Blacker and Riley Larrabee; and his nephews, Brian Smith Jr. and Steven Austman.

He is survived by: his children, Eric Gliddon (Dawn) and Shelly Hawes (Trevor); his grandsons, Liam Hawes (Kayla Cork), Rhys Gliddon (Madisen Gordon-Gliddon) and Deric Gliddon; his great grandchildren, Rosalyn and Morgan; his sisters, Susan Smith, Diane Duke, Lindsay Blacker and Donna Gliddon-Larrabee; and his brother-in-law Barry Poitras. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
