He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Judy; his granddaughter Chelsy Chegwin; his son-in-law Wayne Balon; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Schell and Butch Banks.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Melanie Balon, Leslie Fichter (Kevin) and Roxy Walters; his grandchildren, Cody Balon (Jory), Boone Balon (Kaitlyn), Chloe Curtis (Scott), Dustin Sands (Sarah), Levi Sands (Shannon), Carson Wheeler and Bryse Wheeler; his great grandchildren, Maya, Hunter, Rory, Macy, Willa and Aveda; his brother Gerald "Chic" Wheeler (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Tracey Perry (Tim), Linda Wise, Wally Banks (Erna), Larry Banks, Collin Banks (Debra) and Andy Banks (Patsy).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion - Estevan (1317 4 St, Estevan, SK S4A0X1).
