He was predeceased by: his parents, Colin Bennett and Joyce Bennett (Drier); and his siblings, Dorylea Wilson and Darwin. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Ashley Steffensen (Ryan) of Alida, SK and Nick Bennett (Sadie) of Estevan, SK; his stepsons, Joel Miiller (Kendall) of Kindersley and Cody Miiller of Martensville; his grandchildren, Slade, Jayce, Blake, Brett and Kadyn; his brother-in-law Barry Wilson; and his sibling's children, Michelle Clark (Jared) and Ryan Wilson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
