He was predeceased by: his grandmother Pat Gallant (Gido Jim Gallant). He is survived by: his children, Lillith Livingstone Dighans, Ivy Tatoui Dighans and Isaac Dighans Tatoui; his stepdaughters, Joanna Tatoui and Lily Tatoui; his parents, Mike Gallant and Felica Gallant; his siblings, Elyssia Gallant and Mary Gallant; his grandmother Carol Dighans; and his children, Patrick McDonnell, Raylene Martuo-McDonnell, Olivia Martuo-McDonnell and Jade Ballough-McDonnell. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's memory may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, Heart & Stroke, or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
