She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Mitchell and Florence Mitchell; her parents-in-law, Henry and Helen Peters; her husband Harvey Peters; her brother-in-law Dean Thomson; her siblings, Alan Mitchell and Joan Robertson; her sister-in-law Patricia Mitchell; her sister Verna Pauls (Robert); her brother-in-law George Sawatsky; her brother Alvin Peters (Evelyn); and her sister-in-law Dorothy Souster.
She is survived by: her son Stuart Peters (Lori); her grandchildren, Noah Peters (Jenna Dolan) of Leduc, AB and Nate Peters of Leduc, AB; her daughter Paula Hanson (Wes) of Estevan; her grandchildren, Mia Hanson (Ian Wentworth) of Calgary, AB, Abby Hanson (Albert Trew) of Saskatoon and Kaden Hanson of Saskatoon; her siblings, Donna Lischynski (Dan) and Doug Mitchell; and her siblings-in-law, Duncan Robertson, Joan Peters, Ruth Nesdoly (Roger) and Rick Souster.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's United Church (1418 3rd St, Estevan, SK S4A0S4). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Estevan City Cemetery (22 Boey Road, Estevan, SK).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to St. Paul's United Church, 1418 Third St., Estevan, SK S4A 0M5.
