It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Yvonne McDowell of Fillmore, Saskatchewan, who passed away on September 9, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Cliff; her grandson Shayne Steele; her close friend Alvin Griffin; and her sister Betty Graham. She is survived by : her children, Ian McDowell and Heather Steele (Brian); her grandchildren, Allison Sproat (Colby), Shae and Garett Steele; her great grandchildren, Kinley and Kooper; her brother-in-law Bob Graham; and her step-brothers, Malcolm, Roy, Wayne and Earl. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 16th 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Grace United Church (216 Main St, Stoughton, SK S0G4T0).

In lieu of flowers, for family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Fillmore Health Centre, Resident's Fund, (please designate cheque to Resident's Fund), Box 246, Fillmore, SK, S0G 1N0 or the Heward Cemetery, c/o Deene Hemphill, Heward, SK, S0G 2G0.
