He was predeceased by : his parents, Alex Ostapowich and Gaficia Ostapowich; and his siblings, Katie, Mary, Lena, Annie, Alice, Doris, Wasyl, Steve, Metro and Nick.

He is survived by : his children, Gail (Darryl), Irene (Ken) and Donald (Patty); his wife Olga; his grandchildren, Amanda (Troy) and Matthew (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Anthony, Savannah and Clark; and his siblings-in-law, Emily Ostapowich, Esther Ostapowich and Joe Schebel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
