He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his son Brian; his parents, Mary Howard and Harry Howard; and his brothers, Leslie (Katie), Fred (Georginia) and Bruce.

He is survived by: his children, Janice Howard (Melvin), Heather Howard and Jim (JoAnne); his grandchildren, Jordan (Chantelle), Jillian (Michael), Samantha and Jessica (Dave); his great grandchildren, Connor and Claire; his siblings, Bill (Ann) and Eva (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Irene and Jack.
