He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sloan and Myrtle Sloan; his son Tod Sloan; and his siblings, Doreen Heibert (Jake), Larry Sloan (Elaine) and Neil Sloan (Rita).

He is survived by: his wife Fay; his son Rick Sloan (Sewaa); his grandchildren, Austin and Kwame; and his sisters, Delores Mackay (Don), Dorothy Bruynooghe (Paul) and Ella Mae Millard (Vern). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.

Donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame.
