He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Trotchie and Mary Whitford; his children, Jim, Sandi and Wilma; and his siblings, Helen, Louie, Pete, Edith, Roy, James and Eva.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Bonny, Scott, Wayne, Della and Dale; and his sister Mable of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
