“Dear Rose Marie, Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. My cousin Gloria has told me of Cecile’s passing. My grandparents are Rose and Arthur Poty; my parents Angela (Poty) and Frank Townsend. I was born in North Battleford Saskatchewan in 1944 and lived with my mother and grandparents in Hafford for the first two years of my life. Cecile would likely have known me as a baby. What a long, and productive life she had.! Rest in peace, Cecile. With love, Kathleen Boyle”

“Dear RoseMarie and family, “What a world is lost when someone dies.” Cecile was the end of an era of Saskatchewan women who were of strong character and remarkable in their time. I so enjoyed the few visits with her in Hafford. The stories she told of my mother’s family were invaluable. She was a living local history book. Her sense of humour and keen wit will live on in the memories of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and extended family. Thank you Cecile and God Bless”
