He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Schapansky; his son-in-law Trevor Regier; his siblings, Wes, Dan, Eva Dyck and Viola Block; and his sister-in-law Elsie (Jerry Shygera).
He is survived by: his father Peter Schapansky; his wife Alma Dueck; his children, Ken Schapansky, Brenda Cartman and Ryan Schapansky (Melanie); his grandchildren, Roberta Mansfield, Sheradyn Cartman, Kayli McLellan (Quinn) and Coltyn Schapansky; his brothers, Cecil (Shirley), Harvey (Glenis) and Stanley (Myrna); and his siblings-in-law, Elvin Block and Louella Henry (Derrick). He is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Living Faith Fellowship (303 Dennis St, Herbert, SK S0H2A0). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Swift Current Funeral Home & Crematorium (233 Lorne St E, Swift Current, SK S9H1V3).
