With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lloyd Wayne Petersen (Hodgeville, Saskatchewan), born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Petersen and Mae Petersen of Ettington, Saskatchewan.; his former wife Marilyn Petersen; his brother Cliff Petersen; and his nephew Tim Daku.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Justesen; his children, Cori Olsen (Rob) of Windsor, Ontario and Lee Petersen (Dana) of Hodgeville; his grandchildren, Jordan (Jess), Blake, Shelby Olsen, Tyson (Brooke), Tilynn and Rhett Petersen; his great grandchildren, Dixie Olsen and Wells Petersen; his brother Murray (Connie); his sisters-in-law, Karla Petersen and Norma Petersen; and his sisters, JoAnne Campbell (Ross) and Margaret Daku (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and innumerable friends.

Memorial donations can be made in Lloyd's name to Hodgeville Community Cemetery Fund, Village of Hodgeville, Box 201, Hodgeville SK, S0H 2B0.

“We moved to Saskatchewan 11 years ago. We met Lloyd when we purchased the old high school from his daughter in Hodgeville. He was a great supporter for our work with the Saskatchewan Flag.
