He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Smycniuk and Maria Smycniuk. He is survived by: his siblings, Stephanie (Dave), Larissa Hadley (Ron) and Orest Smycniuk (Kim); his nieces and nephews, Connel (Rene), Dean (Sara), Leslie Witzaney, Mark Smycniuk (Jennifer), Kendra, Erin Eggers (Tom) and Sarah Sutfin (Dave); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Caleigh, Cole, Piper, Addison, Wyatt and Silas.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Winnipeg Ukrainian Cultural Centre (Oserodok) would be greatly appreciated.
