He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ivey and Josephine Ivey; his siblings, Joan Borden, Marg Wenaas, Thomas Ivey and Wayne Ivey; and his brothers-in-law, Orland Wenaas and Lawrence Snider.

He is survived by: his children, David Thomas Ivey, Arlene May Sopel (Calvin) and Keith Donald Ivey (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Selina Volk, Marissa Kosmonek (Hunter), Paige Sopel (Marshal Faye), Shailyn Ivey (Caleb Henley), Avrie Ivey (Kane Spilchuk), Keaton Sopel, Link Lanctot, Jorja Sopel (Everett Jones), Jordyn Ivey, Victoria Ivey and Julianna Ivey; and his siblings, Allan Ivey, Hazel Snider and Connie Fisher (Gerald).

Donations in memory of Don Ivey may be made to the Ituna Pioneer Lodge or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada as gifts of remembrance.
