He was predeceased by: his mother Olga Thies; and his grandparents, Molly, Otto Thies, Mary and William Protzak.
He is survived by: his daughter Brittany; his son-in-law Matthew McGeough of Lumsden, SK; his grandchildren, Scout and Fritz McGeough of Lumsden, SK; his father Leslie Thies; his sister Kimberley Thies of Kamsack, SK; and his friend Bev. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, special friends, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Barry may be made to the Firefighters Burn Fund, Yorkton Wildlife Federation or to Firststep Wellness Centre, Regina as gifts of remembrance.
