He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Kalanchey; and his parents, John Kalanchey and Nellie Kalanchey. He is survived by: his family, Christine (Darryl), Chloe Michayluk, Debbie (Quinn), Tyra, Jenna Zander, Susan (Vernon), Blaize and Isaac Nedilenka; and his sister-in-law Lila Yagelnesky (Richard).
