It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John James George Quewezance (Kamsack, Saskatchewan), who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Philip Antoine Quewezance; his grandparents, Grace Queweance, Johnny "Buckle" Quewezance and Martha Keewatin; his great-grandparents, Joe Genaille, Annie, Malcom and Rose Thorn; his uncles, Joseph "Bumpy" Quewezance and John James; his brother Billy Joe Quewezance; his nephew Desmond Straightnose; and his godmother Yvette Iron of Canoe Lake, SK..
He is survived by: his mother Cheryl Quewezance; his siblings, Alvin Quewezance (Lenora), Kelly Quewezance (Tammara), Ashley Straightnose (Joe) and Raven Quewezance (Waylon); his aunts and uncles, George "Moose" Keewatin, Georgie Quewezance, Grace Keepness and Wanda Laughren; and his siblings' children, Lilyanna Quewezance, Kaesee Keshane, Summer Straightnose, Amirah Qiewezance, Hazel Quewezance, Lainey McNab, Baby Joe Straightnose, Philip Straightnose, Phoenix Straightnose and Kaysen Quewezance.
A wake was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Keeseekoose Chief's Education Center. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
