She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ostafie and Rose Ostafie; her granddaughter Kiralee; her husband William Shalkowsky; her son Richard; and her siblings, Victor, Julian, Orest, Alex, Marcel, Nestor, Caroline, Albina and Stella.

She is survived by: her son Edward (Betty-Ann); her grandsons, Scott and Grant; her great grandchild Tyler; and her siblings, Emily, Olga and Emil. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
