In loving memory of John Vinek (Lloydminster, Saskatchewan), who departed this world on July 13, 2025. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans and Myrtle; his siblings, Richard Vinek, Sandra Johnson and Viola Hillier; and his stepfather John Cummings.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Vinek; his children, Vanessa Rakochy (Jason), Jonathan Vinek (Angela), Jeremy Vinek (Darcie) and Marina Vinek (Arden Churn); his grandchildren, Julian Rakochy, Jack Rakochy, Khloe Vinek, Kori Vinek, Natasha Churn, Jesse Churn and Alexander Churn; and his siblings, Ileien Boyachek, Doreen Musial (Wally) and Wayne Vinek. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.

A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the WLS Convention Centre (5521 49 Ave, Lloydminster, SK).

Donations in memory of John may be made to Grace United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or donor's charity of choice.
