She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Smith and Betty Smith; her brother Bailey Smith; her nephew Jessie; her niece Taylor; and her parents-in-law, Wayne and Phyllis Malbeauf.

She is survived by : her husband Conrad Iron; her children, Whitney Lasas and Jarron Waskewitch; her grandchildren, Mason, Cali and Jessa; her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Lonnie, Blade and Garry; her godchildren, Makayla Vandal and Shyanne Iron; and her siblings, Maureen Smith, Bunny and Garry Smith. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Marla may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
