He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldschiemer and Antonia Grune; his daughter Angela Grune; his former wife Bonnie Kohler; his siblings, Will and Adie Van Graaferland-Grune; and his brother-in-law Lane Westmaas.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his daughters, Simone Heck and Patricia Lamnek (Don Reid); his stepchildren, Brandy Rushton (Jason) and Jerratt Schulz; his grandchildren, Brett Berrecloth (Meghan), Cole Berrecloth (Brianna), Kailey Perry (Jonathan Verseveldt), Matthew Herber, Victoria Heck, Dakota Heck, Emily Lamnek, Montana Rushton and Colby Rushton; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Nicole, Olivia, Daxton and Lincoln; his former wife Sara Grune; his brothers, Edgar (Anna Marie) and Wolf (Elizabeth); and his sister-in-law Bep. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
