He was predeceased by: his parents, William Belly and Rose Chief; his stepfather George Dubois; his child Thunderrain; his grandparents, Joseph Chief and MaryAnn Moochweenis; and his aunts and uncles, Eric Chief Sr., Clayton Chief, Alfred Chief Sr., Marie Alexander, Louise Chief, Virginia Chief, Victoria Cindy Chief and Shirley Ann Chief.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Mooswa; his children, Farideh, Joseph (Vicky), Shanice, Shinnel (Robbie), Taylor and Morgan; his stepchildren, Nico (Lorette), Josh (Deshay), Marco (Justine), D. J. and Colleen (Devin); and his siblings, Judy, Misty, Mavis, Dewey (Beverly) and Willy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family.
