He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howell and Annie Howell; his wife Caroline Howell; his son Shane Howell; his brothers, Kenneth Howell, George Howell and Vern Howell; and his siblings-in-law, Violet Howell, Rene Volkman, Robert Volkman and Blaine Chadwick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Howell and Lori Howell; his daughter-in-law Roberta Howell; his grandchildren, Lexie Knudtson (Andrew), Nolan Peterson (Haven), Dave Currah (Cheryl), Christine Currah and Ashley Caddy (Courtney); his siblings-in-law, Agnes Howell, Toni Chadwick, Judy McVee (Greg) and Richard Weinberger (Aura Lee); and his great grandchildren, Quinn Knudtson, Colsen, Macy Currah, Caroline and Hayley Calder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
