He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Gottinger. He is survived by: his wife Karen Prosser; his daughters, Michelle Gottinger, Teri Gottinger (Sky Waskewitch) and Nicole Gottinger; his grandchildren, Skylor, Tayce, Talaya, Acaydia, Aaryah and Kyrie; his mother Roslyn; and his siblings, Kenton Gottinger, Keith Gottinger (Jody), Karen Johnston (Jim), Kathy Davis (Gordon) and Karla Gottinger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
