Debra Lynn Churko Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Debra Lynn Churko of Martensville, Saskatchewan, who passed away on June 26, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Michael Hornung; her parents-in-law, Joseph and Pauline Churko; and her son Jody Churko. She is survived by: her mother Barbara Hornung; her husband Allan; her son Nathan; her grandchildren, Calli, Landan, Justin (Genevieve Pelletier) and Miles; her daughter Misty; her sister Mona; her brother-in-law Gord Novak; her sister Yvonne; her brother-in-law Wade Selby; her brother Darren; her sister-in-law Diana Hornung; her sister Sherry; and her siblings-in-law, Dale Scherle, Bernie Churko (Judy Bradley), Faith Synk, Elaine Germain and Georgina Churko. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Through all the pain and setbacks, compounded by the isolation from friends, family and healthcare support because of the pandemic, she never complained about this last path she had been placed on.

In lieu of flowers, for those wishing to make a memorial donation, donations to the JDRF (Junior Diabetes Research Fund), funding Type 1 diabetes research, of which Debra was a regular supporter and volunteer, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
