He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Farenick and Leipa Farenick; and his brother Donnie. He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Laura, Derrick (Nancy) and Marj (Dennis); his grandchildren, Tanner (Taryn), Justin and Tori; and his siblings, Florence and Rodney (Pam). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
