He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Jeff of Saskatoon, Cameron (Kathy) of Camrose, Cheryl Black (Trent) and Catherine Rettger (Kim) of Davidson; his grandchildren, Daniel Surine (Shannon), Deborah Surine, Jill, Alex and Mark Rettger; and his great grandchildren, Ida and Aurora Surine.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends and family make donations to SMA research, or the Alzheimer Society.
