He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gray and Vera Gray; his granddaughter Keely Ferris; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Gray; his sisters, Phyllis Johnston and Dorothy Stewart; and his nephew Brian Jonston.

He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his child Kelly Gray (Cindy); his grandchildren, Holly Michayluk (Luke), Madison and Mason; his children, Jackie Caldwell (Gary), Jayden, Alivia, Brett Gray (Jess), Payton, Declan, Kirby Gray (Lynette), Brittany Arnold (Ty), Isla, Rose, Audrey, Devin Gray, Mitch Gray (Linda), Krista Gray, Nova, Breanne Beynon (Vaughn), Brynlee, Kayla Gray and Shauna Ferris (Greg); and his grandchildren, Brady Ferris, Janna Ferris and Brooke Ferris.
