He was predeceased by: his parents, William James Watts and Cora Marjorie Watts; his sister Marjorie Edith Watts; and his siblings-in-law, Verna Watts and Jack Betteridge.

He is survived by: the mother of his children Gerri Goris (Frank); his siblings, Joyce Betteridge (Jack) and Howard Watts (Verna); his children, Jason Watts (Ellie-Jo) and Jaime Rein (Eric); his grandchildren, Steven Watts (Jenny), Avory Watts, Brydon Watts (Hailey), Taijsha Watts (Jason) and Elayna Rein; and his great grandchildren, Preston, Jackson, Nixon, Dean and Athena Watts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
