He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin and Brita; his wife Selma; his siblings, Vernette, Gunnar, Albert Person and Bernice McFarlane; and his great grandchild Leif Maier.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Seib, Joyce Lust and Joan Jurke; his sisters-in-law, Lily Person and Joyce Person; and his children, Lynnel Person (Lois, family: Megan Isaiah, Hudson, Levi, Charis, Evelyn Maier, Sarah Nel, Rose, Ivy Vanderveen, Jessica Adalyn, Ahna, Gunner Suzanski, Bjorn Person) and Lynne Floyd (Russ, family: Devon Iris, Ezra Floyd, Ellise Eden, Kansas, Cohen Floyd-Reynaud).
